Name of Person

Tempe, Arizona

Dear Name of Person:

An internship position was posted online for an event planner. I read the position description and the requirements, and I felt this job was perfect for me. I am in the process of getting my bachelor's degree in tourism development and with a concentration in meeting and event planning. With that combined and being well versed in the recreation, front office, and food and beverage departments, I’m confident that I’m an excellent candidate for this position.

As the child of entrepreneurs and the oldest of 4; I’ve been raised to be a leader, regulator, and a coordinator. My parents own a restaurant and I worked there for years. I swam competitively for the majority of my adolescent years and went on to be a swim instructor at AquaSafe Swim School during college. In addition to being a swim instructor I also worked in the front office. Counting both of those positions this had made me skilled in customer service, promoting a fun environment, and keeping calm under pressure.

As a college intern I would make it my priority to ensure guests have a welcoming, inclusive, and entertaining experience at our establishment. I am a hardworking, passionate, and organized person who is a fast learner and can thrive under pressure. My long-term goal includes being an event planner and this internship would greatly impact me.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and your time. My resume is attached at the bottom, I hope to hear from you!

Sincerely,

Quilla Young
